WWE Extreme Rules is this Sunday and the rules aren’t really all that extreme. This used to be a pay-per-view filled with gimmick matches and no rules matches, started from the ashes of ECW. Let’s look at every match:

Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax (Extreme Rules): This is an interesting one as Ronda Rousey will be at ringside and there are no rules. While the money match seems to be Alexa vs. Ronda at SummerSlam, which the odds for this one reflect, this is also set-up perfectly as a three-way match for SummerSlam as well. Alexa should win here though.

AJ Styles vs. Rusev: This reminds me of a John Cena title defense from back in the day where you convince yourself the challenger has a chance, but in the end it’s all about the champ.

Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt vs. The B-Team: I really have no idea what to think here. The B-Team feels like a lock to lose, but this would be a great way to pop the crowd on this show that figures to have a lot of heels winning. I think the B-Team is worth a 1/4 unit bet.

Carmella vs. Asuka (James Ellsworth in a cage above the ring): Some of the closest odds on the show. This one worries me as it feels like Asuka’s time to win, but when does that ever happen with this match type? It’s always the person in the cage giving a weapon or something to the heel to help them win. 1/2 unit on Carmella.

The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Team Hell No: The Bludgeon Brothers are only a small favorite here and this definitely feels like a team that they could lose to. The only thing is, can we trust Kane? He turns on everyone and The Miz has come right out and said that. One has to wonder if Kane coming back was just part of Miz’s masterplan to destroy Bryan. I think it is, 1/4 unit on Bludgeon Brothers.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins (30-Minute Iron Man Match): This is going to be a long show, eh? Dolph is a big favorite here which I’m not 100% on board with. This year has been a showcase for Seth Rollins to be a great wrestler and this is a great place to do so. Drew McIntyre will be at ringside and I wonder if we’ll see that as part of the finish. Dean, maybe? Please? 1/4 unit on Seth Rollins

Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: One of these guys really needs a win and that guy is Nakamura. Coming off losing something like 10 title shots in a row to AJ Styles, he needs the US title to stay in the main event picture. Plus, what’s more WWE than a foreign guy with the United States title? Nothing.

Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin: Close odds on this one as well. Feels like Balor should win, knowing WWE Corbin will.

Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens: Nobody in WWE is more protected than Braun right now. He is Mr. Money in the Bank and he is destroying everything in sight. I don’t like Owens chances here.

Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley: This could be a good one, but you just know the crowd is going to dump on it. This one is seemingly for a shot at Brock at SummerSlam, but that is up in the air right now. Roman has lost to Brock so many times that WWE should just move on, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. You can never get Roman at a number this low. Bet a 1/2 unit on Roman Reigns.
